Acoustic Ceilings

Wherever sound absorption is required, perforated metal ceilings are one of the most efficient sound absorbing treatments for use in architectural applications. Perforated ceiling panels are available in TRAC lineal, tile and plank ceilings.

Acoustical CeilingsConventional Perforated panels are typically backed with a mat of sound absorbing mineral fiber and are suspended below the structural roof.

Because of the difficulties associated with the use of a mineral wool sound absorbing medium (including working and handling problems) and the possibility of fibers mixing with the air stream, Interarch has introduced TRAC Acousti-Panel ceilings. These comprise perforated panels with a factory applied acoustic non-woven on the rear of the panels. The controlled sound impedance of this perforated panel with a backing air space provides excellent sound absorption properties without the use of mineral wool behind the perforated panels.

TRAC Acousti-Panel ceilings are available in all panel types including 84C, 84R, and tiles and planks in all sizes. Micro-perforations are also available in some panels.
